MANUFACTURING SECTOR OPERATING CONDITIONS

The Government via the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) had an engagement session with the industry and other stakeholders on Tuesday, 17 March 2020, to consider the approval of the manufacturing industry’s operations identified as critical.

In reference to the decision of the Government as announced by the National Security Council on Wednesday, 18 March 2020, the government has agreed to grant exemption to certain manufacturing sectors that produce critical products to continue its manufacturing operations for the period 18 to 31 March 2020.

Companies that wish to operate must comply with the requirements by the Government as per Lampiran B.

To ensure that only qualified companies can operate during this MRC period, companies MUST make the application via https://www.miti.gov.my/index.php/forms/form/141 and comply with all the conditions in Lampiran C.

Please note that the government has emphasised that the approval can be revoked and withdrawn, should the conditions are not complied by the industry.
